Your glucose,
big on your TV
GlucoTV shows your latest CGM reading on your Roku: a big number, trend arrow and chart, colored by your target range, with optional alerts. Works with Dexcom Share and Nightscout.
- 1
The reading
Big enough to read from the sofa, and colored by your range:
in range high or low urgent
- 2
Trend arrow
Which way it's heading, with two arrows when it's moving fast.
- 3
Change and age
How much it moved since the last reading, and how long ago that arrived.
- 4
Chart
One dot per reading over your target band, from 3 to 24 hours.
Three hours or the whole day
Left and Right on the remote switch between 3, 6, 12 and 24 hours. The chart sums up each range for you: time in range, the highest and the lowest.
Alerts you can see across the room
Switch them on at glucotv.com/account. While GlucoTV is open, a banner names the alert and the TV beeps when it starts, then again with each new reading while it lasts. Urgent low, low, high and urgent high each switch on or off on their own.
Set it once at glucotv.com
Your target range, urgent limits, units and alerts live on your account page, the same settings your web viewer link uses. Change them there and the TV catches up within about a minute.
- mg/dL or mmol/L, always with one decimal in mmol/L.
- Press * on the remote to see this TV's settings, or to pair it again.
- When a reading is 10 minutes overdue its age turns amber, and red after 30, so an old number never looks current.
When the TV goes idle, your glucose stays
The GlucoTV Screensaver swaps Roku's idle screen for your latest reading, trend arrow, change and how long ago it arrived, updated every minute. Pick one of four styles.

Questions about the TV apps
Does GlucoTV update itself on my Roku?
Yes. Roku installs updates to its channels automatically, so new features reach your TV without you doing anything.
Do alerts work when GlucoTV isn't open?
No. The TV can only alert while GlucoTV is open and the TV is on. GlucoTV is an extra screen, not a replacement for your CGM's own alarms, so keep those switched on.
Does the screensaver make sounds?
No. It shows your reading in your range colors but stays silent. For alerts with sound, keep GlucoTV open.
Do I need a separate subscription for the screensaver?
No. The screensaver is a free install. It uses the GlucoTV channel's pairing on the same Roku, so your GlucoTV subscription covers both.
Can I put GlucoTV on more than one TV?
Yes. Each Roku pairs separately with its own code and has its own settings on your account page.
Do I need a Roku?
Not for GlucoTV itself. You can pair a computer instead and get a link that works in any browser, and the Roku and the browser viewer can be used at the same time.
